His son-in-law, Bryan Esworthy, invented a device called the “Rotational Support Apparatus” which enables transferring his father-in-law from the bed to the chair and back with minimal lifting required. It is easier on the client as well as the caregiver since the device does not have to be moved, it just spins. With the design of the product, it would be very useful in private home health care.
